The Bucket Life – Chapter 4 – Amsterdam

During our trip Shawn had told me about the trips he had taken to Amsterdam with his family and it sounded amazing. I was so excited to explore this amazing city and to see for myself what all the hype was about. As Jenn Asbury had written in the script, “Amsterdam holds a unique elegance. It’s about bikes and boats and cannabis and coffee. But really it’s about finding comfort within your own skin.” I couldn’t agree more. From the second we set foot off the plane it became obvious that this city is like none other in the world. We quickly met up with our Gray Line guides and begin our tour of this historic place.

With over 800,000 bicycles in Amsterdam and over half of them used on a daily basis it can be easier to explore the city from the canals. Gray Line offers tours as well as hop-on-hop-off canal tours daily and we utilized them throughout our entire trip. Not only did they make getting around the city easy, but the smooth electric boats also worked great as a camera dolly.

After four days of filming and meeting a handful of crazy characters it was time to head towards our final destination, Munich. Amsterdam was so much fun and definitely a place I hope to return to in this lifetime.
